1. Light weight & High strengthThe density of FRP profiles is about 1.8, which is 4 to 5 times lighter than steel. The strength of FRP profiles is great, its tensile strength is 350 ~450Mpa, which is close to the strength of ordinary carbon steel. With the flexural strength of 388 Mpa and modulus of elasticity of 20900Mpa, FRP profiles don’t required steel liner for reinforcement. Tests showed that the wind pressure performance of our window profiles reach 5.3Kpa, exceed 8 level national standards in the GB/T7106-2002..
2. Thermal Insulation
FRP profiles are excellent insulation materials. Its thermal conductivity is 0.39W / m • k, which is only 1/100 to 1/1000 of metal material. Combined with its insulation structure and rubber and top seals technology, its thermal insulation effect is remarkable. Tests showed that the thermal conductivity of our FRP single-frame, two glass casement window is only K0 = 2.2W / (m2 • k), which satisfy the level 8 of GB/T8484-2002 standard; the thermal conductivity of single-frame, three glass, casement window is K0 = 1.8W / (m2 • k) which satisfy the level 9 of GB/T8484-2002 standard; and the thermal conductivity of single-frame, three glass, low-E casement window is K0 = 1.3W / (m2 • k) which satisfy the level 10 of GB/T8484-2002 standard.
3. Excellent Sealing PerformanceIn the procedure of assembling FRP windows, the window frame corners are processed using dual technology of adhesive and screwing, and all gaps are sealed with rubber and top seals, combined with a special profile structure, giving FRP windows excellent sealing performance. By the inspection of the State Construction Engineering Quality Supervision and Inspection Center and Beijing Institute of Architectural Hardware and Plumbing Equipment Quality Supervision, its air tightness performance qualify with level 5of the GB/T7107-2002 standard and its watertight performance achieves level 4 of GB/T7107-2002 standard .
4, Healthy, Green and Environment FriendlyThe test results of internal exposure index of 0.2, external exposure index of 0.2 showed that the FRP doors and windows meet the required specifications in GB6566-2001 standard of radionuclides in building materials.
5. The Effect of NoiseThe tests of State Construction Engineering Quality Supervision and Inspection Center showed that the Air-weighted noise volume of our two-glass and three-glass windows are RW36dB and 39dB, meeting the level 4 of noise performance standard.
6, Corrosion-resistanceFRP is an excellent corrosion-resistant material, has good resistance to acids, alkalis, salts, most other organic compounds, salt water, humidity and microorganism. This feature makes the product particularly useful for the rainy, humid and coastal areas, as well as high corrosive area.
7. Good Dimensional StabilityThe dimensional stability of FRP doors and windows is great. The linear expansion coefficientof the FRP profiles is7.3 * 10-6 / ° C, lower than the steel and aluminum, and it only 1/15 of plastic. Thus, temperature changes will not result in deformation of the windows and doors, and does not affect the normal switching function of the doors and windows.
